challenge 2

I did these drawings last night and I was sorely tempted to add colour - but I was good LOL. I used Egon Schiele as my inspiration. I thought I'd do two drawings one using my right (dominant) hand and the other with my left hand. It really amazes me that such different images appear and much softer and quite uncontrolled with the left hand. Which do you prefer?

I adore the left handed drawings - looser and more full of spirit I think

I like both, strong images. I also think the left hand drawing seems a little more uninhibited. I spent some time looking at Schiele's work. Wow and thanks. (Love the 1910 Schiele Drawing Nude Before Mirror)

Yes, I love them both, but the left-handed one has the edge. Are you doing contour drawings and not lifting the pencil off the page? It is a very successful technique and one that I enjoy too.

I too prefer the left hand drawing - but it's a lot slower to do! Kari, I partially did contour drawing but it wasn't planned, it just happened!!

Again, I think I prefer the left-hand drawing. Far better result than when I try this technique - mine always look like scribbles :0
