Fiona's mind map

This is my mind map, not meant to be a work of art itself, just my working notes. I am just so glad to ahve found it underneath the mess the kids leave on the desk. My theme is ancient things and I'll confine my interests to northern Europe: Pictish stones, chambered cairns, Celtic round towers etc We ahve a few on the doorstep for inspiration.

My Mind Map

Well, guess what? I changed my theme. I decided I needed something more concrete and have chosen Autumn as my new theme. I love this time of year and will explore mostly Autumn colours, Trees, Harvest, and Hallowe'en, maybe even Thanksgiving. It was much easier to make this mind map once I changed my theme.

Karin´s Mind Map Picasso

It´s the very first time I did such a mind map, so I´m afraid it is quite small. Right now I think I will focus on Picasso´s abstract paintings and the women in his life and art. Not sure why, but these subjects fascinate me most. I´m sure, other interesting themes will come up while I am trying to learn more about him. So maybe this map will grow during the project.

Kim's Celestial Bodies Mind-Map

Celestial Bodies

I had a lot of fun creating this mind-map for my theme. The actual words came easy. Once I let go of my left-brain skepticism and started to feel more comfortable with the flow and interconnection, I began to appreciate the value of creating and using mind-maps as a tool. I put this map in the beginning of a journal that I plan to use as a sketchbook for this journey. Next... I need to figure out what a mood board is!?!

Hello to all

Although I am beginning to feel more comfortable with the Yahoo pages, Blogger feels like home! I hope to spent some time this weekend getting current with what everyone is working on, checking out blogs/flickr, and database info. This seems to be a wonderfully diverse group with lots of artistic talent/energy - can't wait to share the journey!

Jill's 2nd Mindmap - Yoni

Well I think I have settled - yes, I know Laura, back where I started from lol. I have also been getting pictures together so will start my mood board thing soon.

This is the final one..........................I think ;)

Jill's mindmap

This is actually my second mindmap - the first I did was Themes as I couldn't make up my mind what I wanted to do. Predictably enough, for those that know me, this theme is the one that grabbed me - as I say, no suprises there. "Woman" has been my inspiration both creatively and spiritually for so long now that it would be a shame to waste this opportunity to explore an aspect or aspects in depth. I started to do that before when doing a foundation art course but I didn't have the time to go as far as perhaps I could - here I feel I have that opportunity. So, "Woman" it is - I think I will break it down even further. My first instinct was to go with Yoni and I think another mindmap is in order - essence of woman perhaps ;).

Katrinas "Golden age of travel mind map"

I really enjoyed doing this mind map, I had forgotten how usefull they were, but I used them when they were called spider maps or brain storming !! I think I have a lot to choose from now I hve brought my era froward by 100 years !!

Deb's Mind Map of the Middle Ages

What a great exercise! My first Map was so gigantic I had to narrow it down. I'll still narrow this one down to a manageable scope....while adding some fun stuff from the first one. Oh...wait...that won't work. Well, at least I won't run out of ideas!

Alis' Mind Map

I picked North American Indians and had in mind the Rock Art of the Anasazi.

I still think that will be the main focus of my work as these petroglyphs have facanated me for decades, but I found it interesting to see how many different things I was interested in to do with these people.

I am sure that there is much more than I have thought of here.
One thing is certain, I will NOT be short of something to think about.

Mind Map: My Back Yard

After much consideration of many themes, including gardens, castles, water and stone, I decided to narrow down the garden theme and concentrate on one - my back yard.

Close to hand, it means that I can observe changes through the seasons, as well as explore a variety of subjects, including individual plants, general views, structures and the creatures who dwell in, and visit, my yard.

Having done the mind map, I'm convinced that this theme is right for me and am looking forward to collecting images and other ideas on my inspiration board (once I get one!).

Mind Map: Rivers

I had a bit of a rethink of my theme last night. I decided to try and make the challenge work to best effect for me and to make best use of time available, I needed a theme that I could access easily every day of the week.

Now I've completed my mind map, there are a number of possible areas for exploration in there, and by visiting the river at different times of day through the year I can get even more out of this theme. After I posted this I spotted I'd missed wharves, warehouses and bridges off my map!!

Mind Map: Home

I decided on my topic....the concept of HOME. Here's my mind map. I've already added to it. This was a very fun exercise and I now have lots of ideas running through my head.
